Bernardaud "Elysee"
The Bernardaud "Élysée" collection traces its origins to 1832, when the Sèvres Manufactory crafted the original service for King Louis-Philippe's personal use at the Tuileries Palace. This design was later adopted for official functions at the Élysée Palace, the residence of the French President, underscoring its enduring association with French statecraft.
Each piece in the "Élysée" collection features a frieze of palm leaves in burnished gold set against a pale blue background, a design that imparts magnificent splendor. The service retains the gracious curves of the Empire shape, with certain pieces inspired by classical styles, such as a gravy boat reminiscent of an ancient oil lamp and a creamer drawing from antique French water pitchers.
Made from fine Limoges porcelain, the collection offers a comprehensive array of tableware, including dinner plates, salad plates, bread and butter plates, soup bowls, teacups with saucers, and serving platters.
