Bernardaud "Splendid"
The Bernardaud "Splendid" collection epitomizes opulence and meticulous craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the grandeur of classical design. The name "Splendid" aptly reflects the collection's lavish aesthetic and the exceptional artistry involved in its creation.
Each piece in this series showcases an intricate medallion and scroll motif, generously adorned with gold incrustation. This elaborate design is achieved through a meticulous multi-step process: a protective varnish decal is applied, followed by immersion in hydrofluoric acid to engrave the exposed areas. Subsequently, two layers of gold—brilliant and matte—are applied, each requiring a separate firing to ensure the richness and durability of the decoration.
Crafted from premium Limoges porcelain, renowned for its exceptional quality and translucency, The collection offers a comprehensive array of tableware, including dinner plates, salad plates, bread and butter plates, soup bowls, teacups with saucers, and serving platters. This extensive selection allows for a cohesive and sophisticated dining presentation.
