This cake fork belongs to Pott's "84" flatware line, made from stainless steel. Its short, side-flattened tines cut cleanly through sponge and cream layers without crushing the pastry. Production takes place in Solingen, the German city of blades where the C.H. Pott cutlery workshop has been based since 1904. The "84" series keeps its lines plain and unadorned, pairing easily with other Pott flatware for a coherent table setting. It suits afternoon coffee service and works alongside cake plates and coffee sets in the same pattern.
Historical Pott model (special collection): produced once a year to pre-order at the Mettmann manufactory. Orders for the upcoming production are accepted until February 2027; delivery in spring 2027.
