Puiforcat "Deauville"
The Deauville collection, designed by Jean Puiforcat in 1937, reflects the architectural influences of the elegant seaside resort of Deauville during the rise of coastal tourism. The collection includes specialized items such as cheese knives, pâté servers, carving knives, and caviar spoons in sterling silver, as well as various forks, spoons, and knives in silver-plated versions, ranging from butter spreaders to oyster forks. The cutlery pieces are distinguished by their solid, slightly curved handles, adorned with three straight grooves that subtly capture light, giving the collection a contemporary aesthetic. The combination of straight lines, flowing curves, and elegant fluting imparts a modern elegance to the Deauville collection.
